About
By Rebecca, May 10th, 2011,in | 1 Comment »
Hi, I’m Rebecca. I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with my super hot husband, Robbie.
I am a technical editor for a large engineering firm. My education is in professional writing and linguistics, and until recently I was a bookseller and marketer; books are one of my passions. Other passions include travel, TV, dogs, time with my family, and licorice. Licorice also qualifies as a vice.

Reinventing Rebecca is a place to feature stories of reinvention and inspiration. I envision it as a compilation of personal stories, interviews with reinventors, links to sites and resources that support positive change, and a place to document my own journey. The focus will be on creating connections and finding the common elements in our lives that make change possible and healthy. If you are a reinventor and have an experience to share, please get in touch with me. I would love to celebrate your story.
Please leave questions and suggestions in the comments.
More
I used to blog here and here, and for a while helped edit manifestos over at ChangeThis.
In a past life, I promoted bookstore events with authors and publishers. I also helped launch these events: LeaveSmarter, Pecha Kucha Night-Milwaukee, and the Author Pow-Wow.
I occasionally write book reviews and provide photographs for Milwaukee’s free weekly, the Shepherd Express:
Loving Frank
Last Night in Twisted River
The Tiger’s Wife
The Orphan Master’s Son
For one year, I taught business writing and communication to college students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Waukesha County Technical College.
